Gemstone Gymnastics Safety Statement
Your Child is safe with us – safety and cleanliness is paramount at Gemstone Gymnastics. We appreciate your trust, and work daily to earn it.
Safety measures include:
• Background checks of all staff
• CPR and first aid certification of all staff
• CDC concussion training & Darkness to Light child sexual abuse prevention certification for all staff
• Daily equipment safety checks
• Annual equipment safety inspection from equipment manufacturer
• Daily gym cleaning and disinfecting
• In house spotting and skill training for all coaches
• Emergency evacuation procedures training of all staff for a variety of emergency scenarios
• Nationally recognized Code Adam protocol upon any missing child

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
Form fitting, comfortable, athletic clothes that allow movement, no zippers, snaps, or buttons that could snag on the equipment. Leotards or shorts and athletic tops are great options! Long hair must be pulled back, no jewelry, socks, or shoes on the gym floor.
WHAT IF I’M ABSENT?
We offer unlimited makeup classes! We encourage classes to be made up within 90 days. You can make up in any class of the same time equivalent, as long as there is space. Schedule your makeup class with the office, or in your Parent Portal. To receive a makeup class, you must inform us of the absence any time before the class occurs. You can do this in your Parent Portal, info@gemstonegymnastics.com, or call/text 619-940-4075
WHAT IF WE DON’T LIKE IT?
We offer a commitment-free trial class. This means that if you do not wish to remain enrolled after your first class, you only pay for the one class you attended. If you do remain enrolled, your first class is included in your monthly tuition.
IS YOUR FACILITY CONVENIENT?
Absolutely! We are located in a well lit shopping center with ample parking, air conditioning, WiFi, spacious and clean restrooms, a comfortable parent viewing area, a water bottle filling station, and healthy snacks for purchase.
WHAT IF SHE’S DONE GYMNASTICS BEFORE?
If your child has gymnastics experience, please call us to schedule a free evaluation so that we can place him/her in the appropriate class. Evaluations take about 15 minutes, and will ensure that your child is appropriately challenged at Gemstone!
About Us
We use gymnastics to teach your child life skills. We believe gymnastics is a training ground for life, a sport that every child benefits from!
