Miss Kalena attended North Carolina State University and plans to continue her education at San Diego State University, majoring in Communications. Kalena has participated in competitive cheer, sideline cheer, stunt, and college cheer at UNC Charlotte. She also has experience teaching gymnastics to children of all ages.
Lilo from Lilo and Stitch is Miss Kalena’s favorite Disney character, and her favorite food is sushi! When asked why she loves coaching, she said: “I have always had a passion for gymnastics and cheerleading so coaching allows me to share that with others. Another aspect of coaching that I love is being able to help kids build lifelong skills such as confidence and teamwork.”
